A postpartum doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, educational, and practical support during the weeks and months following birth.
Unlike a nanny or babysitter, a postpartum doula focuses on helping the entire family adjust to life with a new baby.
Every family looks different, and so does every postpartum experience. My role is to meet you exactly where you are. I provide guidance without judgment, education without pressure, and support that honors your family’s unique values and goals.
Postpartum doulas follow the philosophy of NEAR, which guides every visit:
Nurture: Providing compassionate emotional and physical support while creating a calm, reassuring environment for your family.
Educate: Sharing evidence-informed information so you can make confident decisions for yourself and your baby.
Assess: Observing how you and your baby are adjusting, recognizing signs that additional support may be beneficial, and helping identify changing needs throughout your recovery.
Refer: Connecting families with trusted professionals—including midwives, pelvic floor therapists, mental health providers, bodyworkers, pediatric specialists, and other birth workers—when specialized care is appropriate.
My goal is never to replace your medical providers. My goal is to help you feel empowered between appointments.

I believe postpartum care should care for the parent just as much as the baby. Modern parents receive an incredible amount of information about pregnancy and birth. But often very little support once the baby arrives.
Recovery deserves more than survival. It deserves rest.Education. Community. Compassion. Nourishment. Time.
Whether we’re practicing newborn care, preparing a nourishing meal, discussing feeding questions, or simply sitting together while you process the emotional changes of new parenthood, every visit is designed to help you feel more grounded, capable, and supported.

You Weren’t Meant to Do This Alone
Pregnancy is often surrounded by celebration, anticipation, and preparation. But once the baby arrives, many families find themselves navigating one of the biggest life transitions they’ve ever experienced with very little support.
The fourth trimester is a season of healing.
Your body is recovering.
Your baby is adapting to life outside the womb.
Your family is learning entirely new rhythms.
This chapter deserves care just as much as pregnancy and birth.
As your postpartum doula, my role is to help make this transition feel less overwhelming by offering practical support, evidence-informed education, emotional encouragement, and compassionate presence.
You don’t have to know all the answers.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You simply need someone in your corner.
Every visit is customized to your family’s needs. Some days that may mean helping you learn how to soothe your newborn. Other days it may mean preparing nourishing food while you rest. Sometimes we’ll spend an hour talking through feeding questions. Sometimes we’ll organize the nursery together. Sometimes you’ll simply need another adult who understands what this season looks like.
